Program Title : Social Skills Group for Youth
Program Time : Monday or Tuesday 6:00-8:00 pm
Program Runs from : Three separate 10-week sessions with one Sunday of the month for social activity.

Admission Criteria : 12-18 yrs old with a ASD diagnosis
Activities : This program aims to provide youth with ASD the opportunity to practice, plan and successfully integrate into the community. Participants will examine areas that present challenges for children with this diagnosis, such as an inability to adapt to change or tolerate sensory stimuli found in their natural environments. Participants and facilitators will develop a curriculum based on common interests, goals and barriers. This group includes a Sunday activity (12 pm-4 pm) in the community, which transfers the knowledge attained in the group session into real-life situations, while also providing some respite for families.
