Description of Individual : My son is 5.5 years old has a dual diagnosis of Austism and Fragile X syndrome.
He is not toilet trained and is not verbal. His receptive language is good however, he commuicates by gestures and usually leads people for desired requests. He is a pretty happy child easy go. No aggressive behaviour. Does have some anxiety when approached by new people or new situations.
He attends an all inclusive kindergarten program however, everyday, he does get sick often. When he is sick he tends to throw up. He also has a very sensitive gag reflex when he is nervous or to very heavy odours, or even over stimulation.
He does not plays with toys but his attention is not very great, his favorite thing is his portable DVD player. He loves the swings at the park and likes to go for walks.
He loves to eat, his favorite snacks are chips, and bread.
