Individual ID# : 29316

Description of Individual : My son is a fun-loving boy with Down Syndrome. He is currently attending High School and will continue until he is 21. He has no medical complications but he does have speech limitations and still requires a pull-up (even though he does do his own toileting). He is well-liked by his teachers and by his classmates. He has been attending the same daycare before and after school since he was 2. Because at 18 he is considered an adult (though he still looks only 12), he has aged out of daycare. The daycare is very fond of him so they have agreed to have him volunteer at the daycare before and after school. Ryan sometimes can take a few meetings to warm up to someone new but if you like to have fun with him, he'll definitely warm up to you a lot faster. He likes to make people laugh and he likes those who laugh with him and enjoy being silly.
Worker's Role : The role would be to assist him with his volunteering at the daycare after school only. If interested we can provide more details.
Availability : At the moment it would be for 2 hours after school on Thursday and Fridays. Either 3:30 - 5:30, 3:45 - 5:45, or 4:00 - 6:00. Whichever time works best. We do have a support worker with him Monday - Wednesdays after school but there may be sometimes this support worker can't be there and it would be great to have someone with flexibility who could perhaps assist with the other days with sufficient notice.

Description of Individual : Hi!
I am an almost 6-year-old curious and energetic boy (but I prefer to say that I am a hedgehog, like Daddy, because I have little hairs on my legs!). I am also the big brother of a 3 year old girl (she's not a hedgehog! She is a turtle, like Mom!).
I LOVE to construct with my Legos and to play with cars and machines. I also really enjoy running outside, going to the park, biking and jumping on the trampoline! Yahoooo!
At home, we usually speak French (I was born in Quebec!), but we are learning English.
(I have been diagnosed with mild ASD…)
Worker's Role : My parents would like to have some "adult time" (what's that?!!) so they are looking for someone who could come home and take care of me and my sister. We sometimes fight a little bit so we need some close supervision while playing together. We are also always hungry so we would probably need you to feed us! I am a big boy, toilet trained and autonomous. Finally, we love to hear stories before going to bed!
