J has been diagnosed with a condition in which her brain in response to stress, anxiety and trauma, hijacks the body and produces medical symptoms. She will either fall unconscious, have seizures, or symptoms of stroke where she will lose feeling in part or all of her body. She sometimes vomits during seizures and needs to be suctioned. She also does not protect her airway during paralytic spells. These are the ones we currently see, although more can develop at anytime. She ambulates between a walker, wheel chair or on her own, but does wear a helmet to protect her head.
