Respite care is a family support service that provides temporary relief from the physical and emotional demands involved in caring for a family member who has a disability. Respite creates greater opportunities for all family members to live actively and participate in community activities and allows pa rents/guardians time for themselves.
The Respite Coordinators in Halton will coordinate respite options for children and adults with a developmental disability and children up to age 18 with a physical disability, in conjunction with their families and other service providers. Short-term coordination will be provided in order to overcome barriers to respite for these individuals.
Support Provider Database
