We just need a worker around to ensure they are safe, don't let strangers in the home, in case of emergencies etc.. Both boys are nice kids. No behaviour problems. Would be easy to support.

Our kids pretty much just do their own thing after school. Maybe help them get a snack if they want something - they usualy do that independently. Maybe go out with them to the nearby park if they want to go, or just to relax at home with our boys until us as their parent's get home from work.

My son, Tyler, attends the Ron Joyce Children's Health Centre in Hamilton for 10 hours a week and receives IBI therapy. He's doing very well and is verbal, communicative and very expressive. His independence is growing slowly, but he still needs some help with things like getting dressed and toileting (he is toilet trained but needs some help). Behaviourally, he's usually a very good kid, although recently I've been introducing time-outs as discipline for poor behaviour. Tyler is very bright and has a keen interest in different topics, especially fascinated with elevators and crayons. He's fairly independent and enjoys using his iPad to watch videos, but does need stimulation and re-direction if he gets unsettled from time to time.

In September 2018, I will require transportation for my son Tuesday-Thursday from his autism therapy at the Ron Joyce Centre back to school (Rosedale Elementary school). If after-care at my son's school is not happening, I will need my child picked up from school at 2:50 p.m. and driven back to my home which is a short drive away, and stay with him until I get home around 5:30-6pm. Rôle du travailleur :	Worker would provide in-home support including personal care such as toileting, personal hygiene and medication administration. The worker would also support her in activities including, swimming, recreational activities, and other community programs. Transportation would be through DARTS and the worker will accompany her.
