Individual ID# : 30570

Description of Individual : Josie is 7 years old and is currently being homeschooled.

She has low emotional intelligence. She is unable to read other people's emotions. At times, she is unable to state her own emotions or it may take long periods of time.

She can be quite social although it taxes her mental energy. Once her mental energy reserves go down, she may seek attention by antagonizing her brothers or call for her mother.

She seeks new behaviours but grows bored relatively quickly.

She is highly sensitive. She has been averse to light and sounds although that may have diminished recently. Once she has minor pain, she is unable to cope.

She is able to take care of her brothers and generally takes charge of the youngest sibling should the middle sibling have a meltdown.
Worker's Role : The worker's role is to support the children. This can consist of ensuring that children are safe and have things to occupy themselves should there be meltdowns or ensuring that the child with the meltdown is safe.

This could also consist of supporting the parents so they can go to appointments or have solo time to recover.
Availability : Availability will be quite varied. At first, requested availability will be in the morning to facilitate relationship building with the family. Should the relationship progress, then we will switch availability to the afternoons when there are typically episodes.

There may be times when evening availability will be requested so the parents can go to appointments

Individual ID# : 30569

Description of Individual : Kenneth is a 5 year old boy who is being homeschooled. He is on the low end of the Autism Spectrum.

He has low social skills, low emotional regulation, and aggressive behaviour.

He has toilet issues where he is unable to ascertain that he needs to go to the washroom until the last second.

He has low finger dexterity and hand strength. He is scared to try new things. He needs time to process mentally. He tends to stay away from mentally taxing tasks and chooses to focus on specific habits as coping mechanisms.

He is very dependent on his mother and requires her presence especially when he is unable to process mentally.

Small issues can become an annoyance (especially if it taxes his mental ability) and explode unexpectedly. At these times, he may lash out physically.

He has low pain tolerance.
Worker's Role : Support Kenneth. This can consist of ensuring that he is safe when he has a breakdown or when his siblings have their breakdown.

This can also consist of taking care of the children while the parents go to appointments or require solo time to recover.
Availability : This will be quite varied. At the beginning, it would be advisable to be available in the morning to facilitate relationship-building with the family. If the relationship builds, then we would progress with standardizing the schedule towards the afternoon and when the parents need to go off on appointments.

Description of Individual : Emre is non-verbal. He is sensitive to noise and new environments at times. He is a very happy young man. About once a month, he goes through a phase where he is quiet and could easily become agitated and aggressive if he does not have his space since he is non-verbal. He needs assistance in public for safety reasons so he does not get lost, doesn't walk into traffic and for his overall comfort. He can go to the bathroom when he pees but will need to be told to go and assist in public. For bowel movements, he wears diapers and needs assistance with cleaning. He absolutely loves car rides, swimming/water parks, bouncing/playing with balls, being outdoors, parks, etc. He likes to keep active and we try to keep him as active as possible as he is gaining weight and is mainly bored at home.
Worker's Role : We would like the worker to provide relief services as my mother currently provides full care while my dad works. If the worker could take Emre out on outdoor activities, swimming, summer camps, parks/beaches, or join us when we go out on family outings, that would greatly help and ensure Emre is always kept busy and happy.
