Worker ID # : 327

Education and Experience : I have 25 years of’ experience working in the Social Service sector, primarily with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Throughout the years I have acquired a toolbox of skills that I use with each person I support. Everyone is unique and I believe my strongest skill is in recognizing that and easily adapting to the situation so that the person I am supporting is always feeling like they are understood and listened to. I work with them to achieve whatever it is they want to achieve in the way that best works for them, not in a way that works for me. They are my client. Unless of course we are doing specific exercises given to us to do by a therapist, OT etc....then I can easily implement the exercises that need doing the way they were intended to be done.

I'm also happy to include siblings or friends in our activities. Community outings are also something I really enjoy doing.
Availability : Mondays and Fridays after 10 am up to 11pm.
Sleepovers are fine if parents need to get away for the weekend or work. I am also open to working weekends, just not every week as I often support my mother on weekends as she lives out of town.
