Respite Options in Waterloo Region

In Waterloo Region, nine developmental service agencies offer a variety of respite programs, both in-home and out-of-home. These programs serve people of varying ages with a variety of different needs and interests. Admission Criteria : This program is available to children who are medically fragile or technologically dependent.
Activities : Theme days, arts and crafts, leisure activities, swimming, Snoezelen, and community outings are offered during the week.
Comments : The March Break program is an out-of-home, five day respite program offered to 4 - 6 children who are medically fragile or technologically dependent. Nursing staff is present for the entire week.
Disability / Special Needs : Allergies, Alternative Communication Devices, CPR, Developmental Disability, First Aid, G/J Tube, Medically Complex, Mobility, Nursing, Oxygen, Personal Care (toileting, diapering), Physical, Physical Disability, Seizures, Suctioning, Tracheotomy
