Respite Options in Waterloo Region

In Waterloo Region, nine developmental service agencies offer a variety of respite programs, both in-home and out-of-home. These programs serve people of varying ages with a variety of different needs and interests. Admission Criteria : Individuals must have a developmental disability. Participants must be at least 14 to 22 years of age. If the participant requires a hgher level of care, they may be required to provide their own support worker. This is determined at time of booking through a short questionnaire that will be priovided. A $50.00 deposit is required for each session at time of registration. Full payment is due prior to the start of each session. Post dated cheques will be accepted. Payment is only accepted via cheque or cash.
Activities : FUNDAYZ is a camp which provides a stimulating emvironment for high school students 14 to 22 years of age whom have developmental challenge. FUNDAYZ offers a wide variety of fun activities and trips to meet a diverse range of interests! Camp runs for 6 weeks throughout July and August as well as a week at Christmas and one week on March Break

Extended supervision is available for 1/2 hour before camp and 1/2 hour after camp at the cost of $10.00 per week.

If a participant comes with a support staff, extra costs may be involved to cover day trips and some activities.

Upon registration the participant will receive a confirmation package with important camp information prior to the participants session(s).
