Respite Options in Waterloo Region

In Waterloo Region, nine developmental service agencies offer a variety of respite programs, both in-home and out-of-home. These programs serve people of varying ages with a variety of different needs and interests. For more information on what each respite program offers, please click on the Respite Option link provided.

Program Title : Summer/March Break Program
Program Time : Monday through Friday.
Program Runs from : July and August
Program Length : During summer months or March Break
Program Cost : Negotiated directly with family.
Admission Criteria : Referrals for the Summer and March Break program are accepted from families, individuals, the Waterloo Regional School and Separate School Boards as well as the Developmental Services Resource Centre, Waterloo Region, and Developmental Services Ontario, Waterloo Region.

The summer opportunities program is open to individuals 16 years of age or older.
Activities :
Comments : The Summer and March Break programs are day camps for students in high school. The program is run Monday to Friday. This program allows the students support when they are not able to attend school.
