Address : 160 Hespeler Road, Cambridge, ON N1R 6V7
Community Regions : Cambridge-North Dumfries
General Information : Respite Services are offered through the residential, evening activities, summer camps, and work experience programs of Community Living Cambridge.

Residential Services: Currently there are three residential respite placements for adults that may be accessed to allow for care givers to plan for the person's stay in a supervised, structured residential setting. Length of stays vary and are arranged on a case by case basis. The fees charged for each night's stay are the responsibility of the care giver and will be billed at the beginning of the month following the stay. Respite beds may be booked up to 60 days in advance, although special considerations may be made to accommodate future planning for extended trips, by contacting CLC and speaking with the Respite Manager.

Throughout the year, CLC circulates an Activities Guide which lists various 8 to 10 week programs as well as day trips and SOO events. Some of the 8 week programs include, Healthy Steps, Cooking Capers, Guitar Hero, to name a few.

Summer programs are also offered through our Fundayz day camp which is run for six weeks through the summer. This camp is eligible for youth 14 years of age and older who are returning to school in the fall.

Summer work experience programs are also offered through the ARC industires site.
Eligibility : For residential respite; services may be accessed by first ensuring that the person is registered with the Developmental Services Resource Centre (DSRC) and that the referral package is forwarded to the respite services of this agency. Arrangements will then be made for an interview and tour of the various sites to determine candidates suitability and level of care required.

For weekday activities, please call or visit the CLC offices and request a current Activities guide. SOO registration is also available though this guide and any day trips and dances that may be held.
