Respite Provider Registry

The Respite Provider Registry is an online registry of individuals who have completed an application & screening process and are available to provide support as Respite Providers/Direct Support Providers in Windsor Essex County. 

Respite Provider applicants:
Please complete the Respite Provider Application located in the box below and ensure you fill in the classified ad section of the application, as this is the only information that will be displayed on the site for families to initially view. Please make sure to outline direct experience or related education in the field of disabilities. Please ensure to upload a resume. Only qualified applicants will be contacted. Families searching for respite providers, will be able to view classified ads located in the box below of the respite providers on the registry and request full profiles in order to contact those they find appropriate for their family's needs. Please complete the Family Online Application to begin the process.  COVID-19 GUIDANCE AS YOU USE THIS RECRUITMENT SITE:

The guidance on health and safety continues to evolve related to Covid-19, even as Ontario resumes more open activities.  We urge all families and direct support providers to follow guidance from the Windsor Essex Health Unit and Public Health Ontario.  Families may choose to have only people who have been vaccinated come into their home and it is expected that both the DSP and the family discuss the safety practices that they will be committed to, including pre-screening before coming to the home, not being together if anyone has symptoms of Covid-19 or has been in contact with anyone who has either tested positive or is in isolation.
