There are four agencies in Windsor and Essex County that provide respite services for families. The agencies receive funding from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services or the Ministry of Community and Social Services to provide these services for families. Some of the agencies provide services according to the age of the person who has the disability.

- Family Respite Services (FRS) provides in home respite, assistance with Special Services at Home, ACSD, summer support and Enhanced Respite for families living in Windsor and Essex County.
- FRS also provides out of home respite (associate family/host family) for families living in Windsor and Essex County
- FRS provides out of home respite in staffed respite homes for families who live in the City of Windsor

- Community Living Essex (CLE) provides out of home respite in staffed respite homes for families who live outside of the City of Windsor in Essex County.
- Community Living Essex also provides assistance with summer support for families living outside of Windsor in Essex County.
- Community Living Essex also provides assistance with administering Special Services at Home
