General Information :	The Almost Home Respite House - located in Lindsay - is a place for children with special needs and adults with intellectual challenges to stay when their families need a rest from providing care. Along with receiving respite service, people staying at Almost Home can spend time with friends and take part in a variety of activities. Services are available through the Almost Home Respite House on weekends, during which professionally trained Community Living Kawartha Lakes staff members manage the house. The Almost Home Respite House is also available from Sunday evening to Friday for families who hire their own caregiving staff. It may also be available to other agencies upon request and a negotiated fee.
