To continue to improve our training services for staff serving children, youth, adults and families in Ontario, we are making more of our program available in a flexible and convenient online format. Currently, 3 courses are available in this format.
The Respite Services Training Certificate can be used by a range of people. It was designed as a self-paced online course to prepare individuals to work in respite support situations and also provides a basic level of training for current respite workers. Those who are already working in the field may find it useful to take the course to explore areas they are less familiar with ensure they have a full understanding of all the skills required.

The Respite Learning Portal has been successfully launched by SafeGuards Training
SafeGuards Training is a unique training program designed to meet the highly specialized training needs of staff serving children, youth, adults and families in Ontario. It is a joint training project of five provincial associations in the children´s services sector that began in 1995.
