General Information :	Respite Family Relief Providers:EMPLOYEE MODEL This enables adults who have a developmental disability to stay in their own homes/community with the support of a respite care worker. The Respite Family Relief Providers are flexible based on the individual and the families needs. We match a trained staff member to the needs of the family and the personality and skills of the individual they will support. Together, they create a plan that works for everyone involved. This may range from developing social and life skills, such as problem solving or learning how to use public transportation, to participating in social and recreational activities, such as dancing or swimming. All Mary Centre's staff are trained in First Aid and CPR, CPI and Health and Safety issues. As well they come with a vulnerable sector police clearance report. Out of Home Residential Respite: St. Bernard's Location St. Bernard's is located in Toronto but utilized by Peel residents. This is only for Respite, no individuals permanently reside there. St. Bernard's offer 5 residential beds to the community all year round. We offer March Break and Summer activities while individuals are utilizing the program during these times. St Bernard's assists individuals in skill development, and the opportunity to participate in social and recreational activities. Note this location is not wheelchair accessible at the present time. All programs are fee for service based and your Special Services at Home Funding can be used.
