Virtual respite programs are available for your child, youth and/or adult with special needs. These online interactive programs promote social connectivity, learning, engagement and fun!
Live programming will include social time, games, theme days, dances, coffee houses and performances, pageants, dances and more! The program is available from June 1st to August 29th, with daily activities online Monday to Saturday.
The Boys & Girls Clubs
The Boys & Girls Club have partnered with Jays Care to offer a virtual summer camp. Registering for this camp will include weekly activity kits delivered to you, interactive programming and great resources for the whole family! Campls will run in week-long sessions beginnng on June 29 and each session will be 45 minutes to 1 hour long.
Easter Seals Camp@Home
Through interactive, fun, and social online activities and programs, campers of all ages and diverse abilities to learn with trained counselors through role-playing game adventures, crafts, drawing, cooking and more. Through live video, counselors lead discussions, offer mentorship, and cheer on campers during activities.
ErinoakKids's 2020 Better Together Summer Camp
This summer recreation camp is free and week-long from July 20 to August 28, 2020. Each day throughout the week will include plans for an outdoor adventure with your family, as well as crafts and games over Zoom. Kids can share their creations with fellow campers, and trained recreation therapists will guide them through each session.
Geneva Centre's Adult Summer Social Club
For individuals with Autism 18 and older, this club allows members to build friendships and explore new activities virtually. Members collectively get to decide the weekly events, which may range from virtual museum tours, aquariam tours, dance parties, trivia nights, etc.
Gevena Centre's Remote Summer Camp
Remote Summer Camp offers participants and families the opportunity to check in daily with Geneva Centre staff and engage in structured facilitated activities. The program is designed to engage participants and families in engaging in a wide array of activities to help break up the monotony of life indoors! Facilitators will lead the group through scheduled programs, adapt activities to different support needs, and check in with participants along the way!
Great Big Theatre Company
This innovative drama camp has a variety of fun and interactive activities for individuals 6-14 years old. Participants will engage in collaborative and engaging drama games, improvisations, art projects, plays and scenes, along with lots of music, mixed in with fun movement activities and dance parties.
Kerry's Place - Camp Connection
Children and youth have the opportunity to develop skills related to social interaction, maintaining friendships, and learning about others through fun activities that strengthen turn-taking and sharing skills as well as their imagination. This camp is for children and youth, and includes small groups of 3-6 participants.
This online camp is for 6-13 year olds with Learning Disabilities. The program emphasizes on social engagement and behaviour management skills building. It will take place from June 15th to August 28th through out the week at 10:30am to 1:30pm.
Recreation therapists and community partners have come together to create unique interactive and innovative virtual (online) services that will offer experiential outcomes through 1:1 and small groups (5) programs. These services are for children, youth and adults with disabilties and mental health.
Virtual STEM camp is an experience to keep young minds busy and engaged through website building, coding, 3D design, and more.
