Peel Behavioural Services and Christian Horizons are offering the Take Charge Group to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (including Autism, PDD and Aspergers disorder) aged 10-17. The objective of the group is to provide respite for family members and skill development for individuals with ASD. The Take Charge Group sessions focus on individuals learning new skills such as: self-esteem, self-regulation, perspective taking, etc. The setting also encourages peer interaction providing the opportunity to make new friends, play games with peers and to meet others with ASD. |
