|What is respite care?
Respite care is a family support service that provides temporary relief from the physical and emotional demands involved in caring for a family member with a developmental and/or physical disability. Respite creates greater opportunities for all family members to live actively and participate in community activities while allowing caregivers time for themselves.

|HOW TO ACCESS RESPITE SERVICES
|There are three primary agencies in Windsor and Essex County that provide respite services for families. The agencies receive funding from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services or the Ministry of Community and Social Services to provide these services for families.
