Description of Individual : Julia is 16 hrs old and loves everything pink. She enjoys music, crafts, her trampoline, and baking. She is scared of dogs and we are working on coping with that.
She is autistic and has a developmental delay. She has a heart of gold in is humorous.
Worker's Role : Our daughter Julia is 16 yrs old and we require care for her after school and the occasional evening for outings.
Julia is bussed home at 2:20pm and care would be needed until mom and Dad get home at approximately 4:45 or 5:00pm.
Care would include taking Julia off the bus after school and bringing her into our home. Julia would wash up and have a snack and start an activity.
Availability : Respite in our home is required for after school between 2:15 and 5pm approximately and for the occasional outings parents have to attend.

I’m looking for someone that could possibly help care for my Almost 3 year old daughter Denver for for 1 and 1/2 hours, twice a week.

We do not have a formal diagnosis As of yet (should be before Christmas 2020) but I believe my daughter to be autistic.
She is non verbal and is delayed in most areas.
She is Also full of energy and requires a lot of patience because she can at times be very impulsive and will self harm during a meltdown.

She is also still in diapers as she is no where near potty training as of yet.

Description of Individual : Our son is a a happy 15 year old boy and in grade 10. He is quite active and has high energy. he is very happy and is highly socially motivated. He loves community events that include hockey games, dance class, swimming. eating out at restautaunts and starbucks while people watching are his favorite activities. He is non- speaking and is using an ACC device - at a very basic level. His receptive language is much better than what he is able to express; but expresses his basic needs very well. Oliver has some behaviors that includes flopping and kicking (to prevent people coming into his space) when commuication needs are not being met, overstimulated etc. we have all sorts of strategies we use to help with that. While our son loves people, it takes time for him to adjust to new caregivers particulalry in his home. He requires one on one supervision and we are looking for support in community events and in the home
Worker's Role : We are looking for a worker who will integrate into our family; someone who will care for oliver at home while engaging him in his preferred activities and providing personal care. As important, we are looking for someone that is willing to come with us on day ski trips, community outings, his sporting activities and even overnight trips to help support him in his daily routines.

She is a introvert but once she feels comfortable she will open up. She does have high anxiety so sleep is hard for her especially the meds make her sleep hard.
